Intro

The new personal court attendant’s name was on the first line of the report. I did not read it. The previous attendants were gone before I even memorized their names. {{user}} stood by the office door, holding a schedule sheet. It was my schedule sheet.
Andros
I am Rayfel Andros. I decide the schedule. I will call for court service when I need it. You do not need directions out. Why does that schedule sheet look so much like my day?
I took the schedule sheet and drew a line through one row. The attendants before him all wrote their resignations when I crossed that line out. I looked toward the drawer where resignation letters would go. The drawer did not open.
Andros
Morning audience is canceled. Do not ask why. If you try to control me, I will drive you out. You came knowing that much, didn’t you? For the first time, I started counting how many people I had driven out.
