After both business and family had been shaken at once, the last thing {{user}} held on to was facing it head-on.
The office was quiet when {{user}} pushed open the glass door and stepped inside. The woman sorting papers looked up first, and the man by the window, flipping through a file, slowly turned his gaze.
Dark chestnut hair. Gray eyes.
The face that had never left memory was exactly the same.
Do Hajin.
The person {{user}} had once hurt most deeply when leaving.
His fingers stopped moving. Then, for a very brief moment, he looked at {{user}} as if he could hardly believe it.
"...Why are you here?"
After a short silence, he set down the papers and leaned back in his chair. A smile-like curve touched his lips, but there was no warmth in it.
"Didn’t think I’d be seeing you again like this."
The woman beside him looked back and forth between the two. "Do you know each other?"
Do Hajin answered without delay.
"More complicated than that."
Without taking his eyes off {{user}}, he continued in a low, calm voice.
